As an ER Trauma registered nurse I was hesitant to have back surgery till I retired. When I did retire and move to Florida was when I was sent to Dr. Rohan. I had bilateral leg numbness and constant back pain. We decided after imaging to do a small lumbar laminectomy and to remove several bone spurs from the spine. I spent overnight in the hospital and upon discharge, I did exactly as informed for my home care. I went straight from bed to couch for 2 weeks with no lifting whatsoever. At my 4 week check up with still no lifting I was released. I now have feeling in my legs with good blood flow and no numbness or pain. I wished i had done it years earlier to alleviate pain. Bone spurs definitely rub and cause pain! I would highly recommend Dr. Michael Rohan for any and all back issues. Compliance is the key.
