Dr. Vajen has always treated me like a human. He always lets me ask questions even if they are silly. He is not uncomfortable with distress as my first appointment with him he was compassionate and listened as I struggled to speak through tears. He did not change his care at all despite my distress, this created a lot of trust and ease when coming back to the practice. The whole staff are very kind especially the front desk. I have met two different nurses who work with him, both are the same as Dr. Vajen in dealing with me. It really makes the whole experience of being sick or in pain or loosing ones voice less scary. It makes it easier communicate when one feels safe to be a human. I have a Autism and finding a medical setting like this has helped me with getting out of the avoidance part of medical trauma. I worked with Speech Therapy as well, they were great, I still use their tips! I will be working allergy people soon and hope to find answers!
