Patient Reviews
Oct 18, 2023
Dr. Matava is a godsend- I have been seeing him since 2015. I sought him out as a second opinion as I was referred to him by my physical therapist at that time. I am 37 years old and dislocated my right kneecap 14 years ago and have had problems ever since. I was misdiagnosed as an ACL tear by another surgeon and then that surgeon reconstructed my ACL incorrectly. Dr. Matava reconstructed my ACL correctly and then performed cartilage replacement surgery under my kneecap- I have now had a total of 7 surgeries on my right knee. Dr. Matava and his team have been extremely patient and understanding with me throughout this entire process. I live in central IL and will make the drive to see him every time.
