My mother was in the hospital and needed surgery. Dr Kwaan went out of her way to be there for her. Dr. Kwaan answered every question and wouldn’t leave my mother’s side until all of our questions were answered. We never felt rushed or that we were asking dumb questions. Dr. Kwaan performed a complicated surgery that took twice as long as expected and which concluded at 2:30am. Dr. Kwaan was a blessing and we are so thankful. I want to add that we read a couple reviews about Dr. Kwaan’s “bad bedside manner”. Nothing could be further from the truth during our experience. While I certainly felt rushed and belittled by other doctors we encountered during my mother’s hospitalization, I never felt this way with Dr. Kwaan. She repeatedly asked if we had any other questions and never was rude or inpatient. Ironically, Dr. Kwaan’s bedside manner was one of the best we encountered during our two week hospitalization. Thank you Dr. Kwaan!
