She completed fellowships in cardiac anesthesiology and critical care at Washington University in St. Louis, and trauma anesthesiology at R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Dr. Hyder was also the assistant professor of anesthesiology and attending anesthesiology at R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for 18 years.Her medical interests include trauma, resuscitation, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
