I called the doctor’s office, hoping to get the receptionist rather than voicemail. While the phone rang, I even dared to dream I’d not only reach the receptionist, but she’d connect me with the doctor’s assistant rather than the assistant’s voicemail. The phone was answered. It wasn’t voicemail. It wasn’t the receptionist. It wasn’t the doctor’s assistant. IT WAS THE DOCTOR HERSELF. Yes, Dr. Husney answered her office’s phone. I was so surprised, I blurted out, “Why in the world are you answering the phone?” She laughed and said being more accessible to patients was one of the benefits of her new practice. And she really was. Not only did she swiftly arrange for the test that was the reason for my call, but she also answered several questions I would ordinarily book an appointment to discuss. As always, she was professional, pleasant, and knowledgeable. I didn’t feel rushed, and at the end of the conversation was happily satisfied all my queries were completely and correctly answ
