He has served in several private practice and academic roles, including director of the Center for Lipid Disorders and Weight Management and professor of pediatrics, epidemiology and social medicine (nutrition) at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Dr Jacobson has lectured on pediatric lipids and obesity at many hospitals in the United States as well as in Spain, Portugal and Brazil. He has appeared in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and many national magazines and local newspapers.
