My son began seeing Dr. Assi when he was in elementary school over 15 years ago. At one point he tried working with a doctor who is more local, and ended up going back to her, despite it being a 30+ min drive to her office. Dr. Assi always spends a full session with him, asks many questions to determine how things are going, answers his questions patiently (& often repeatedly), thoroughly explains the science and research behind her decisions for any med changes, and willingly works with his counselor to address his needs. The only drawback for our family is that she stopped working with insurance companies when Obamacare laws were passed, but even then she thoroughly explained her reasoning behind her decision.
