For 6 years I struggled to understand the deterioration of my health and quality of life. Frequent subluxations, constant nerve/muscle pain, never-ending fatigue, migraines, and more sent me looking for answers. Prior to being treated by Dr. Goparaju, I spent 5 years at Sharp being treated like a hypochondriac, told my weight, diet, and personal choices were causing my symptoms though working out more and strength training only made symptoms worse. I entered the first visit with Dr. Goparaju feeling defeated, ignored, and shamed by doctors. Dr. Goparaju LISTENED as I went through my symptom tracking journal, saw the anguish in my face and referred me to Rheumatology. Rheumatology sent me for tests and referred me to Genetics. In less than 3 months, I was diagnosed with a type of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. Manageable, but not curable chronic conditions that accounted for ALL of my symptoms. I wish there were more doctors like Dr. Goparaju!
