Compassionate, caring, and helps one understand the choices one makes. Dr. Austin assists her clients to examine alternatives. Be prepared to delve deeply and have a great understanding of yourself and how you impact relationships. Dr. Austin is of high character and sophistication. During extensive therapy my life was changed due to mutual hard work... and without medication.

Care Philosophy

  • I begin with a a thoughtful and complete evaluation, focusing first on what brings a person to my office, and then on understanding that person as a human being, including their past experiences. Many, though not all, of my patients receive medications, and almost all receive at least short-term psychotherapy and sometimes long-term psychotherapy. I also enjoy meeting and working with family members.
