Lela Mansoori, M.D., is a board-certified Endocrinologist and Internist, Associate Professor and Director of Medical Student Internal Medicine Education at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and Physician Leader in Information Technology (IT) Implementation Consultant in Denver, Colorado. Dr Mansoori received her B.A. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at the University of Colorado, Boulder and graduated with highest honors, and elected into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She attended medical school at the University of Colorado and was honored with the American College of Physicians Medical Student Award for the student showing the highest achievement and exemplary performance in Internal Medicine. After receiving her medical doctorate, she completed a residency in Internal Medicine and was Nominated for the Humanism and Excellence Teaching Award for the doctor exhibiting highly compassionate care to patients, students, and medical staff. Dr. Mansoori completed an Advanced Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the University of Colorado, and spent a research year serving as an investigator in variety of clinical trials studying the effects of testosterone and estrogen as well as metabolic bone disease and osteoporosis. She has published articles on osteoporosis, and continues to lecture on a wide array of Endocrinology and Internal Medicine Topics. Dr. Mansoori also works as a hospitalist, with specific expertise in hepatobiliary as well as pre-and post liver transplant care. She has been nominated for Physician Colleague of the Year, for being an outstanding role model to her community and standing out among her colleauges providing compassionate and comprehensive care. She is also the IT consultant and lead physician for the implementation of computerized physician order entry at Presbyterian/St.Luke's Hospital where she worked closely with both hospital administration and the medical staff to ensure successful implementation. Dr Mansoori is recognized as an outstanding physician, leader, and teacher, and strikes balance in her life through her interests in personal wellness and music.
