I have been seeing Dr. Lowenbraun for many, many years. There have been a lot of ups and deep downs in my life and she has been an amazing, solid professional who is alert to changes and always remembers my life issues & family and asks about them at every single visit. I have to be honest that I’m REALLY perplexed by the reviews calling her evil and manipulative. I have spent so much time with her and I cannot even begin to imagine her behaving this way. HOWEVER, it’s clear and 100% appropriate that she doesn’t enable patients who are clearly drug-seeking or abusing their medications. It’s totally unrealistic to expect her to jeopardize her medical license for someone who isn’t following her orders. Over the years I have gotten several controlled medications from her and she IS very careful about prescribing them, but since I’ve never given her a reason to distrust me, she has ALWAYS been willing to talk about the risks and benefits with me find a treatment that works.
