Sincerely, Dr. Heier is a wonderful doctor. There isn’t enough space to say what I want to say. If you want a doctor that is honest, tells you like it is, gives you options for healing and recovery Dr. Heier is your person! This may be long winded. But I had gone to a podiatric surgeon with severe ankle issues. She ordered images and said I had torn ATFL and needed surgery. Wanted to cut me open that was my only option. Told me I would be good as new. Dr. Heier same tests. Nothing torn but just a severely compromised ankled both sides. My nerves not functioning. He could operate but in 6-12 months I would be NO BETTER OFF.. He could fuse my ankle, nope, I didn’t want that. Or I could try the latest in athletic orthosis! Yeah, it’s a brace, it’s mid-calf, light weight, fits in my normal size shoes, it’s Star Wars cool! Dr. Heier wants to rehabilitate you and not jump on you with a knife unless absolutely necessary. He’s a good man.
