My wife and I were taking a weekend trip to Polk County wine country when stomach pain hit. At the ER, I met Dr. Weircox who had just started 10 days as a visiting surgeon. In the 6 days since, I have come to realize I was blessed to have been under her care to fix a diverticulitis-induced intestinal penetration. Dr. Weircox is clearly a deeply experienced surgeon, extremely knowledgeable about the abdomen and thorough in her coverage of all solutions related to the problem I faced. I can truly say she clearly cares about the patient. She was thorough in her descriptions and answers, not rushing away to the next patient. She asked efficient and caring questions. And, a first for doctors at large, actually shared her own life experiences related to our issues that came up. I see Dr. Weircox as a Godsend to address my unplanned, acute problem. My experience with her is at the top of any medical experience in my 65 years of life. Thank you, Dr. Weircox, from the bottom of my heart!
