Patient Reviews
Mar 08, 2020
Dr Kathy Chuang facilitated at EMG at MGH to uncover an issue of numbness and partial paralysis of my left hand following full shoulder replacement surgery 6 weeks ago. I found her to be very informative through every step of the 45 minute process. In general terms she explained everything she was seeing and left me with a great sense that I had an incredibly capable medical professional handling my case that up until her exam had been personally very disruptive and troubling. In an age when its easy to feel that individually we are just part of the masses she left me feeling that she truly cared about me and brought her best knowledge and experience to my issue. I wait in great anticipation for her final EMG report regarding my hand and my neurosurgeon's recommendation on how to proceed to gain a return (I hope) to full functionality of my hand.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
