I have had two corrective surgeries (fixing another surgeon's work, not her own) with Dr. Ljundquist and cannot speak more highly of both her abilities and interactions/consultations/ level of personal care for her patients. She is exceedingly thorough in her explanations and willingness to fully inform patients on all aspects of a procedure. The thing, for me, that makes her truly exceptional is her mutual level of respect for a patient's autonomy and understanding of their own body. I have had my own account of fractures disregarded/discredited by other surgeons, only to have them begrudgingly agree (post x-ray) that I was indeed correct. Having to undergo surgical procedures is mentally taxing to begin with, but essentially being gaslit or ignored by someone you're choosing to entrust the functionality of your body with is upsetting. I have never felt more collaborative on restoring functionality via surgery with another surgeon than I have with Dr. Ljundquist, and I am grateful.
