My mother developed a bed sore after breaking her femur/hip. We went to 2 wound specialists in Pittsburgh PA- one who performed surgery - which was a complete waste of time and the second Dr- who came highly recommended had her on a wound vac for months.In order to get her spirits up, we got my parents back to FL and I found Dr. Montejo. I was very skeptical at first, but after meeting the Dr. and his staff, I was pleasantly surprised. After just a few months, my mother’s wound was healed. Dr. Montejo worked closely with her de- breeding or cleaning out the wound every week for the first few weeks and then the visits went to once every 2-3 weeks. Within just a few months, the wound had closed.It was miraculous as other doctors felt she might need to live her life with this wound.He was caring, professional and explained all he was doing with the wound and his staff from his nurse, Tammy and I believe Julie, at the front desk could not have been more helpful.
