After almost 25 years of being your patient, well over half my life, I am so happy (and anxious ;) ) to see you retire. I truly believe you saved my life, as I honestly don’t know what or where I would be without your understanding, knowledge, and treatment. From 4th grade into my 30’s, you have been a constant and helped me go from a terrified little girl who couldn’t go to her best friend’s house nextdoor to an (mostly) well-adjusted adult who moved two states away from her family. I never would have thought it possible, even just a few years ago. It’s nerve-wracking (to say the least) that I won’t have you through each step of my life in the future, but I feel confident that you provided me with enough tools and strength to get through anything. So, thank you for everything, since 1998, the good ol’ days of my Winnie the Pooh sweatshirt ;)
