Office Visits: I came to Dr. Woodward because my thumb and hand hurt every day/all day. I had little grip strength and found opening jars etc. impossible! Office is soothing and reminder messages for appointments kept me on task. It is also nice that ancillary departments are housed within the same building. Interaction with Dr. W, (and some research,) reassured me of his expertise and experience. After working thru occupational therapy and the liberal use of Voltaren gel, I decided to bypass injection treatments and go forward with Carpometacarpal Arthroplasty. Dr. Woodward made treatment suggestions, but ultimately left decisions about my care up to me. Day of Surgery: Dr. W and his surgical staff all had excellent bedside manner and put me at ease. I was comfortable and excited about my projected outcome. Post Surgery: I am now a month post-surgery and I have a smooth scar, full mobility and NO PAIN in my thumb and hand.
