I was leaving for Mexico for my son’s wedding and my knee became very swollen. Dr got me in immediately. He withdrew the fluid and gave me a cortisone injection. He was extremely polite and explained every step with me! One month later I ended up having swelling in my lower extremity of the same leg and he called me immediately and advised me what to do! Highly recommend

In general, I prefer a conservative, non-operative approach to orthopedic care. Orthopedic problems are rarely life threatening, so urgent surgical treatment isn't necessary for most things except infections and certain fractures or dislocations. There are inherent risks with surgical treatment, so surgery should be considered only after all other conservative measures have failed. I am a strong proponent of rehabilitation treatment for many conditions. By improving posture, flexibility, muscle balance and strength, as well as general fitness, many conditions such as chronic shoulder, hip, and knee pain can be improved. Weight loss for overweight individuals, and smoking cessation are the two most important steps patients can take to improve their symptoms, reduce the risk of complications, and improve their outcomes when surgery is undertaken.
