Bio

Dr. Carcione is board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology and has attained New York State certification as a physician acupuncturist. He has served on numerous panels setting up pain management practices and has acted as a management consultant, in both the public and private sectors, in the areas of provider practice management, medical risk management, medicolegal consulting and pharmacoeconomics. He is an active board member for the New York State Office of Professional Medical Conduct.  Dr. Carcione serves as an author and editor for www.webMD.com and www.emedicine.com.

Dr. Carcione’s interests are largely in the fields of neuromuscular disease, neuromusculoskeletal and occupational disorders, and clinical neurophysiology.  He uses medical acupuncture, injection therapy and manipulative medicine in their management. He is an expert electromyographer and performs a large number of electromyography procedures each year.
