Dr. Adongay is not given to small talk, which may be unsettling to some patients; but, he is willing to answer questions & explain things. He did not rush me into having surgery. He ordered some medical tests. He conferred with my urologist & OB-GYN & all 3 agreed my rectal prolapse should be corrected before my other conditions were addressed. Dr. Adongay agreed to perform a robotic, laparoscopic non-mesh rectoplexy to fix my rectal prolapse. He explained the procedure & described how he would do it. The day of my surgery, he took time beforehand to talk to me. Afterwards, he told me I had the worse full thickness rectal prolapsed he’d ever seen & that my sigmoid colon was unusually long. He was so concerned that I was not recovering as he had expected that he wanted to send me to rehab. However on the 3rd day my progress had greatly improved & he felt I could go home instead. Since then I have made a full recovery & am well pleased. I highly recommend Dr. Adongay.
