My husband suffered a stroke on Dec. 13, 2023 and was airlifted to Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. Dr. Baker operated on him to remove two blockages - one in his carotid artery and one in an artery in his brain. He had a 5% chance of survival. From the get go I and my two sons had every confidence in Dr. Baker. He explained thoroughly what was happening with care and compassion. My husband survived - the ICU team dubbed him their Christmas miracle. Dr. Baker continued his expert care of my husband while he was in the hospital. We had a followup appointment yesterday in Dr. Baker's office. Once again, his care and compassion was most evident. He takes the time to listen to you - never rushing - just very thoughtful but confident. I consider Dr. Baker to be one of the finest, if not the best, neurosurgeons in the country.
