It was excellent. We met just before surgery, as is typical, and I alerted him to my challenging anesthesia experience during the previous hip replacement.. He immediately stepped away to find and review that incident (he had not attended) and decided he was not going to give me the planned general anesthesia. He sedated me by another method, which turned out to be my easiest and safest sedation experience. He was very attentive and careful, kind, and communicated clearly and reassuringly. It was my easiest and shortest recovery from sedation.
