I was a patient of Dr. McNerney for many years, when I worked in Westwood, NJ. I left in 1995 to move to FL, where I continued to be an active cyclist. This January, I managed to pull calf muscles in my left leg. After trying unsuccessfully to correct the issue I was about to give up, when I decided to call Dr. McNerney's office. It was a Friday afternoon around 4:00PM when I called. I was in shock when Dr. McNerney himself picked up the phone. He remembered me, and we discussed my situation. He told me to stay off the bike for 4 weeks and to do specific stretching exercises. (If he told me to jump off a bridge, I might have done so. That's how much respect I have for the man) Needless to say, he was right as usual. I am now back on my bike and no longer have any pain in my left leg.
