I met Dr. Cosgrove at the ER, needing emergency surgery. Before it became urgent, I put off scheduling this surgery due to other issues that make undergoing surgery difficult and risky. He listened carefully to my story and my concerns. He treated me like an intellegent person, agreed and sympathized with my concerns. He quickly looked into the records of the previous surgeries I've had, spoke to the doctors who handled the surgeries, quickly contacted the specilaists I needed and the surgery went on successfully first-thing the next morning. After surgery he gave me very good advice, should I need to have emergency surgery for any reason, again. I am very grateful the roll of dice at the ER got me Dr. Cosgrove, as too many of my past experiences with doctors found them to be arrogant, condescending know-it-alls that I usualy have to fight to get to listen to me.
