Wonderful!! I was 38 years old when I found out I had cancer, rare blood disorder and an aneurysm with no insurance. One hospital was going to transfer me to cook county which I didn't really know about, I had just moved to Chicago. He took me on as a patient knowing all that and I received the upmost care from him and the staff at Rush University Hospital. I can't thank Dr. Showel, Dr. Lathchemsetty and Dr.Chen enough for all they did for me. Thank you!!

Care Philosophy
- Francis Peabody many, many years ago said, “The secret of caring for the patient is to care for the patient,” i.e. care about the patient, be interested in the patient. If the patient isn't doing well, you're not doing well. If the patient is doing well, you're doing better. I'm very comfortable taking care of a variety of different kinds of cancer. And I'm comfortable with patients - just participating in the back and forth that involves making patients feel better and facilitating their care.
