Patient Reviews
Feb 13, 2020
My daughter was in a car/train crash in December 2019. She sustained a traumatic brain injury, a shoulder separation and breaks in her lumbar spine. She was in critical condition. Dr. Styliaras saved her "brain" by his early and aggressive treatment of cerebral edema with mannitol and 3% saline. She is recovering and doing well. Her intelligence is intact. Thank you Dr Styliaras. Susan, MN Feb. 12, 2020

About Me

Care Philosophy
  • Within my life and my practice, I have embedded and enshrined the concept of cura personalis, a founding Jesuit principle of my medical School, Georgetown. Loosely translated as the "care of the whole person," I truly believe in treating a patient as a whole person, and not just as another medical record number, not just as another pathology or disease to tackle. I believe in treating patients with the dignity and respect every single person deserves.

That is why I make sure I explain in great detail what is going on, and what are the treatment options. I believe that information and education empowers the patient, and turns us into a team.

I treat my patients like my family. My patients and their families know that I will always be by their side and take good care of them.

I am humbled and honored to be part of my patients' healthcare and their lives, and I am grateful to have found such a great home at St.Luke's and at Duluth.

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
