Dr. Samaniego was instrumental during the hardest day of my life. I was in the 3rd trimester, with my 2nd pregnancy, when my placenta separated from the wall of the uterus (placental abruption). In 1990, we lived in the small border town of Nogales, Arizona. The attending physician at the hospital that day, was at a loss with my condition its' treatment. Dr. Samanigo was called in, he preformed a C-section, but sadly it was too late to save my son's life. Dr. Samaniego strongly suggested that I hold my son, one final time; this proved to be the most important closure of my entire life! Two years later, Dr. Samaniego delivered my 3rd child, a healthy girl! 31 years later, and forever thankful for his patience, understanding, compassion and carefully monitoring me during my pregnancy.
