I was treated on an outpatient basis by multiple psychiatrists over the years to manage my Generalized Anxiety Disorder and refractive Major Depressive Disorder. I was never able to feel full relief from all my symptoms so assumed that would be impossible for me. The best I hoped for was to be able to function effectively in my chosen field: There were times I was unable to work or even leave the house. When I went to Dr. Carr, I felt defeated and hopeless, thinking that there would ever be an effective treatment for me. After working with me, truly working collaboratively with me, not just screening my symptoms, writing a prescription and then seeing me monthly for med checks to either increase dosage or switch up meds as so many psychiatrists do, Dr. Carr finally helped me not only to be a healthy, high functioning professional in my career, I have been asymptomatic for years now. Do not give up hope if you also had limited with previous providers. Try one more time with Dr. Carr.
