Dr Fogelson is everything you want in a surgeon: expertly skilled, compassionate, communicative, and caring. I found Dr Fogelson at the Mayo Clinic in 2018 after being misdiagnosed ay my local hospital for months, By the time I was properly diagnosed, I’d suffered unnecessary nerve damage and gait issues. He promptly got me into surgery for my cervical spine and I was able to return better than before in a few months of recovery. Now it is 2025 and I am few days out of lumbar spine surgery and feeling better already. I hadn’t been able to walk due to nerve damage and a foot drop, both of which are markedly better after surgery. When my wife and I came back to see him with this new issue, Dr Fogelson was prepared, offered clarity, and a path forward which we very much appreciated. He spent over an hour explaining the procedure and managing our expectations. I highly recommend Dr Fogelson should you need spine surgery. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my back.
