Patient Reviews
Jul 22, 2023
Twenty-one months ago, I broke my tibia/fibula and had emergency surgery to install internal fixation on the tibia. After several months the tibia fracture was diagnosed as nonunion. I was referred to Dr. Stoneback and his Limb Restoration team which, after antibiotic infusion therapy to treat a tibia infection, performed a bone tissue transplant and installed an external ring fixator device. After five and one-half months, the fixator was removed and I began physical therapy. The tibia is now healed and is in good alignment. I want to thank Dr. Stoneback, his team, and UCH for their tremendous skill, care and support through this difficult time.

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
