Care Philosophy

"I enjoy putting together the pieces of the puzzle to get to the root cause of my patients' symptoms, says Dr. Gelfand. "I also love teaching and educating my patients on nutrition and steps they can take to prevent and manage chronic illness. I chose family medicine because I always envisioned treating the whole person. I enjoy participating in the care of a wide variety of people from different backgrounds and age groups. It is an honor to participate in a person's healthcare journey. As a primary care physician, I am able to use my communication skills and empathy to see people through some of the greatest challenges in their lives."
