Dr. Maurer is a miracle doctor. After my car accident, the trauma doctors in the ER @ CAMC General were trying to amputate my left arm... I'd pulled it out of the socket, broken my ball joint in two & broken my humorous bone in 9 different places. Dr. Maurer performed a surgery where he had to reattach most of the nerves in my arm, insert 17 screws & 1 metal plate to put all of my broken bones back together & do a skin graft where I'd lost so much skin & muscle. Then, 6 months later, he had to go back in to fill in a piece of the humorous bone with bone marrow. It's been 13 years & still haven't lost any nerve damage in any part of my arm or shoulder. Thank you, Dr. Maurer... I won't ever forget how you chose to save my arm that day, when all of the other doctors on duty that morning agreed to amputate it. You really are my guardian angel here on Earth.
