He is very clear, patiently answered all of our questions, and never pointed to surgery as the only answer for our issues. His mantra: If it ain't broke, don't fix it." In several cases he suggested that we get second opinions so that we were clear on the kind of choices he suggested. Harms has a great sense of humor, but he always gets the message clearly. He no longer does surgery, but he is great at helping his patients think through their options.
