With an emphasis on gastrointestinal endoscopy and the effects of medications on digestive health, Dr. Aisenberg has extensive experience diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal diseases and conditions, including celiac disease, Crohn's disease, irritable bowel syndrome, Barrett's esophagus, inflammatory bowel disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), liver disease, ulcers, and colon cancer. At New York Gastroenterology Associate's state-of-the-art Endoscopy Center on East 93rd Street, Dr. Aisenberg performs endoscopy, colonoscopy, and sigmoidoscopy using the most advanced technology and techniques for accurate diagnoses and disease management. In addition to seeing patients at the Upper East Side practice, Dr. Aisenberg is a clinical professor of medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. During his career, he has been widely published in peer-reviewed medical journals and speaks nationally and internationally about gastrointestinal disorders and diseases. In addition, he serves as president of the Digestive Diseases Research Foundation and has been named a “Top Doctor†by his peers for more than 10 years in a row. Dr. Aisenberg completed his bachelor's and master's degrees at Harvard College, followed by his medical degree at Harvard Medical School, an internship in internal medicine at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center and a fellowship in gastroenterology at Mount Sinai Hospital. He maintains active memberships in the American College of Physicians and the American College of Gastroenterology and has been named a fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association.
