I try to treat every patient like they are a member of my own family. It is my goal that every patient receives excellent care and has an excellent care experience. Ultimately, I want patients to feel like they are valued like family.
I view my patients as the captain of their own ships, and I serve as the navigator. My role is to provide my patients with the best information and advice to make healthcare decisions. Ultimately, the decision they make with my assistance is the right decision for them, because it is their decision, which I will support in any way I can. I tell my patients that I work for them, and not the other way around.
