About Me

Care Philosophy
  • We take care of patients with medical complications of pregnancy - all the way from preconception - planning for a pregnancy - through the pregnancy period, labor and delivery, and aftercare. Today we have innovative programs - technologies - that have come from research both at Rush and elsewhere that we can bring to enhance patient care. Specifically, we have programs with our high-resolution ultrasound imaging - that did not exist some years ago - that can provide detailed anatomy evaluations of the fetus. We have special programs for patients who we anticipate will have difficulties with their pregnancy or, especially, difficulties with the baby once born. One of the attractive features of the field of obstetrics and gynecology - which carries over to maternal-fetal medicine - is the ability to care for patients throughout their lifespan. So we go from the care of adolescents - who may be seen for their first gynecologic evaluation - through the delivery of their children, and - if one stays in the practice long enough - the care of the older adults, and perhaps even the delivery of the grandchildren of those you saw at the age of 16.
