  • Jonathan Tianchon OTR, CHT is an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist in NYC who specializes in patient-centered recovery in order to achieve activity-specific goals in the treatment of various hand-related diagnoses. He graduated from Stony Brook University in 2014 with a bachelors in Health Sciences and a Masters in Occupational Therapy.Jonathan trained under Joanne Kassimir OTR, CHT and has been specializing in hand therapy since 2014. He specializes in treating many conditions of the upper extremity including with wrist fractures, finger fractures, carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis and joint pain, finger and elbow dislocations, Dupuytren's contractures, tendon repairs, nerve repairs, tennis/goer's elbow, and many other injuries. He has extensive experience with various treatment techniques including joint mobilization, progressive strengthening exercises, work station modification, work habit training, sensory re-education, edema control, pain management, energy conservation and joint protection as well as the fabrication of static, static progressive and dynamic splints.Jonathan's primary goal is restoring range of motion, strength and dexterity in the dysfunctional hand and focus on problem-solving adaptive strategies to facilitate patients' return to the activities that they find most meaningful.
