Dr. Kazuare gets it. From the first time we met, she was well prepared and knew the very complex background and various issues my Dad had. She took a good 30-40 minutes to fully understand and listen to both family members attending along with the patient. From her excellent understanding, curiosity, investigative mind and ability to connect, you know the situation and what the next steps include. She gave a masterclass for how a doctor could bring deep medical knowledge and build rapport so that message is heard by patient and caregivers. Could not recommend Dr. K any higher. Please do not get hung up by a name that looks different than you are used to. She is a great listener and communicator. She is a tremendous asset to Duke Medicine. 10 out of 5 stars.
