Dr. Lienhard was first to notice a peculiar sound and referred me to a cardiologist. He was very surprised that she had picked up the abnormality. It was the first hint of a congenital issue - bicuspid aortic valve - that was closely monitored thereafter. Several years later I finally experienced cardiac failure and had my aortic valve replaced. Dr. Lienhard visited me during my hospital stay and recuperation even though she wasn't the specialist treating me. She is wonderful!
