I have known Dr. Gianni Faedda for over 15 years, both as a professional and as a family member of someone treated by him. Good psychiatry is an art and a science, and he excels in both. He is exceptional with virtually all diagnoses, but unparalleled with mood disorders. He is a superior diagnostician, able to sift through clinical symptoms and zero in on the underlying condition. He also is an excellent psychopharmacologist, always on the cutting edge of treatment options (if not running clinical trials, himself) and with an uncanny sense of which medication will work best with each patient. In addition, Dr. Faedda values holistic approaches, incorporating highly effective non-medical strategies, such as meditation and wellness. He is highly collaborative not only with professionals, but also with patients, encouraging and empowering them to educate themselves about their condition and possible treatment options. I cannot recommend Dr. Faedda more highly.
