Dr. Gittes is leading the charge for a potential cure of Type One diabetes. Following a recent appointment with Dr. Gittes, I found him to be an approachable, brilliant researcher and we are blessed to have him apply his time and talents in search of a cure for the world's fastest growing pandemic. All other auto-immune diseases are on the downslope except diabetes. Limited testing on animals in a controlled humane setting is the only pathway towards FDA approval of new medical treatments.
