  • Dr. Barile is Professor of Ophthalmology, Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra /Northwell, and Director of Ophthalmology Research, Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. He previously served as the John Wilson Espy MD Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology and Glaubinger Scholar in Retina Research at Columbia University. Dr. Barile has lectured widely, has authored or coauthored more than eighty publications, and is a member of numerous professional societies and organizations including the Macula and Retina Societies. Among several honors, Dr. Barile received an Achievement Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a Senior Honor Award from the American Society of Retina Specialists.
