Care Philosophy

  • My goal is for my patients to take an active role in their disease management.  To that end, I take extra time to explain their heart condition in terms they can understand.  I want them to appreciate the rationale for tests I have ordered and treatments prescribed.  I think that if they ``buy in``  to their management plan, they tend to be more compliant and more willing to make important lifestyle changes.
