Dr. Bonura delivered my second child 46 years ago. I was a planned C/S but went into labor early. It was just before midnight, he and staff called to check on me and make certain I was enroute. The hospital was awaiting my arrival. I was wheeled upstairs immediately. He made certain I stayed awake as requested. Post-op I presented with some bleeding. Long story short- I did well. He always checked on me and made the best medical decisions. I regretted moving out of state. I had confidence in him and appreciated how personable he was with my family. I had an 18 month old little boy whom he spoiled with cookies at visits. I'm a retired nurse and was always choosy about my medical care. Ironically enough after our move I made an appointment with an OB/GYN in Florida to find this was his old partner! It's been many years but he is still in our conversations and hearts.
