We are grateful that Dr. Hanspal has accepted our 53 year old Downs syndrome son, John as a patient. In the past John was a high functioning, energetic, active person. Several years ago, following emergency cervical stenosis surgery he began to develop problems, first with walking and balance and later with non-motor issues such as speech. We consulted with Dr. Hanspal on May 25, 2023. She impressed us with her intelligence, knowledge, kindness, and patience. The appointment was not rushed and she spend well over an hour with us. She has diagnosed John with Parkinsonism. We now know that most of the problems he has been experiencing are related, arising from one illness rather than multiple conditions. We are comforted by the possibility of treating and alleviating at least some of the issues that have been troubling him. We hare confident that this can occur under Dr. Hanspal's care.
