Dr Edward Leader cared for my husband for 6.25 years. He truly provided Care. Husband’s case was complex, TBIs & affect from Severe Pain had been misdiagnosed by a Previous psychiatrist as “Bipolar Disorder, perhaps the worst case I’ve ever seen.” Thankfully, request for 2nd opinion was authorized to see Dr Leader who was cautious, objective, & methodical in his diagnostic approach, listened to input from family who knew symptoms that were usual & unusual for my husband, and observed triggers; he asked many questions, listened & observed astutely. He yielded to my requests the couple times I asked. My husband trusted him. Dr Leader is Rare: Trained extensively in psychiatry with both psychopharmacology & psychoanalysis; he factors both, is extraordinarily attuned to non-psychiatric factors of presenting disorders, & highly productive for the patient’s wellbeing... which extends wellbeing to the family too. Very Grateful.
