I’ve been a patient of Dr. Gay’s for over 10 years. I chose him because he was board certified in depression and anxiety which is something I suffer with. I also have severe osteoarthritis and severe, disabling degenerative disk disease as well and I suffer greatly. From the start, Dr. Gay treated me as a whole person with these coexisting conditions. He listens, is very thorough in his exams and lab work ups to stay on top of my chronic conditions. He has worked with me diligently to get to the correct diagnosis of intestinal issues and as a result have been rediagnosed, and correctly medicated with my gastro. He does come off as a “know it all” and we’ve had our verbal differences but there is no doctor I trust more than Dr. Gay. Because of his thoroughness and proven track record on keeping me well and my health stable, I trust him with my life. I moved 2 hours away last year but I make the trip to see him every few months as needed because for me he’s the best!
