- Rebecca earned her Master of Social Work degree from California State University, Sacramento, and her Bachelor of Sociology degree from Fort Lewis College in Colorado. She has over 15 years' experience in mental health, substance abuse and weight/food issues. She creates a welcoming, supportive, and safe atmosphere for clients to feel comfortable enough to work on their issues. She believes strongly in starting where the client is and helping them to identify these issues. She uses a strength-based approach to therapy to help clients recognize their own inner strengths. She likes to use humor, when/if appropriate, to help clients feel more comfortable and at ease.
